It is one of the most beautiful mills you can see, with all the hydraulic structures in ancient wrought-iron used to grind grain and also to beat stock fish. Just beyond the old mill you will find the old building used for the beating because Umberto Zoratto is the only one who beats the stock fish in Italy.

Preparation of San Daniele ham requires a long process with many delicate stages according to ancient tradition. The real secret is however the local climate consisting of the encounter of the cool Alpine currents and the damp Adriatic ones.
